Life is full of questions that we can’t always answer. There are some questions that only God can answer. The beauty is that we have a father who has infinite wisdom and is willing to give us the answers we are looking for. This class is designed to give you some answers to those tough questions that have been pressing upon you. Bring your questions, and together with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the facilitators will search the word for the answers to those questions.
Courageous Living (Let's Get Real About Finances) | Location: #17 CLUB ROOM
Our financial choices, especially as young adults, have the power to change the trajectory of our lives. The opportunity to practice Biblically sound ways of obtaining financial habits is a great step towards courageously living.
Anthony ONeal is passionate about helping people learn how to make wise financial decisions. In his talk, he will explain the 7 Baby Steps to living a debt-free life. He will also talk about why you need to have an emergency fund, how budgeting gives you permission to spend money, the importance of investing and how to be a generous giver.
Strength in Numbers | LOCATION: #23 COFFEE SHOP
Strength in numbers” is not just a cliche’ that seems to apply to animals. The buddy system is used even in battle. The U.S. Army has what is called a “battle buddy.” The purpose of a battle buddy is to teach teamwork, improve safety, reduce the likelihood of misconduct and develop a sense of responsibility and accountability for fellow Soldiers. Jesus was a part of a community, down to his closest circle. This class is designed to teach you that being a part of a community not only provides strength, but also safety and accountability. You are not alone.
Take Heart (married and engaged couples) | LOCATION: #23 LEADERS LOUNGE
Allowing your heart to be cared for by another is not always the easiest thing to do. To trust someone with your heart, your hopes, your plans, your money, your body and soul takes courage. Even trusting them with your words and being vulnerable enough to be open and say what you like and don’t like; having those honest conversations with one another may be difficult. This class dives into the depths of the marriage relationship to walk through those vulnerable moments and have those difficult, yet healthy conversations.
The Courage to Start | LOCATION: #23 BEAD SHOP
Thy word have I hid in my heart.” We have to understand and love the word in order for us to thrive. Before we can understand it, we have to be brave enough to start where we are and know that God will meet us there. There is no sense in putting it off because we are “not together;” If that were the case, we’d never come to Jesus. We need him to help us walk out this thing called life. This class is designed to help you start feeding on the word, because it is our daily bread. Just like babies, we start with what is easy to digest, build up our capacity to handle more, and move into meat. There is no preset way to start, just start.
This is Bigger Than Me | LOCATION: #5 GYM
Leader/servant, while the two seem worlds apart, they are really synonymous. One is not greater than the other, and if truth be told, you have to be both. A true leader is really a servant. We take this example from Jesus himself, who was a servant-leader. In this session, you’ll learn what it means to be a servant-leader, the characteristics of a servant-leader, and search the word for practical ways to deal with the responsibilities of leadership.
You Make Me Brave | LOCATION: #19 HARTS PRAIRIE
If you were to encounter a stranger in need, how could they tell you know Jesus? This session looks at the work of the Holy Spirit in your life. As a believer, there is boldness available to you that allows you to live beyond your ordinary potential in the face of trials. Are you putting it to use? We'll look at examples of Jesus and the Apostles that illustrate courage by way of the Holy Spirit.
